She doesn't know what it's called. She doesn't know what all the ingredients are. She knows that it's sweet, cool, refreshing, and makes her smile. Trips to the ice cream store with mommy are what summers are all about. She also knows to point to the red picture in the window, calling it ice cream, when the time is right.
Forgetting that I had titled this picture Parfait, at the time of framing I inadvertently gave the picture another title, Waiting In Line. Liking the first title so much, and having already framed the piece with the second title, I wanted to make reference to the picture's intended name.
